All the books I read this year and one sentence reviews

These are all the books I read in 2021 with one-sentence reviews.

I am so impressed with myself because I read 78 books and 15,716 pages.

Some interesting statistics are that I only read 2 books with over 500 pages and 17 books with 300-499 pages so the rest were short. I think a little goal for 2022 would be to try and read some longer books.

I read 62% fiction and 38% non-fiction which is interesting. I don't feel like I read that much non-fiction but I definitely want to read a similar amount or more non-fiction next year.

I also gave 61 books 4- or 5-star reviews which is really cool because it means I highly enjoyed most of my reading.

Landline by Rainbow Rowell

⭐⭐⭐

Not my favourite Rowell book but a good romp and a great way to start the year.

Goodbye, Things: On Minimalist Living (Ebook) by Fumio Sasaki

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was a brilliant little book on minimalism and stuck to the minimalist vibe with minimal but intentional words.

Two Stories (Mr Salary & Colour And Light) (Audiobook) by Sally Rooney

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Enjoyed these two of Rooney's short stories, but definitely prefer her novels, so looking forward to getting my hands on Beautiful World, Where Are You.

Yellow Wallpaper (Ebook) by Charlotte Perkins Gilman

⭐⭐⭐⭐

A classic short story with an interesting look at mental health in women at the time and how useless the methods to help were.

Breakfast At Tiffany's And Other Stories by Truman Capote

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Really enjoyed this even though it's not my normal kind of story, I think the New York vibes helped.

White Fragility: Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism by Robin DiAngelo

⭐⭐⭐

There are definitely better books out there on this topic and written by people of colour but usefully introduced me to some concepts.
